Projects nearing completion

Hello everyone,

I'm here to tell you that this has been a very active month. I am almost finished with my second chair for the Chair Affair http://www.thechairaffair.com/. And nearing completion of the Serenity Series http://artbybradgreek.com/thrive.html , For the Thrive in '05 project. I have been out lining up locations to tour this set of paintings for viewing and to get pre- orders for the canvas giclee prints.

I have been working on press releases for an up and coming show that I'll be in called the "Variety Show". This is a 3 artist show at the Arts & Design Society in Ft. Walton Beach http://www.artsdesignsociety.com/. The show will be from June 8th-26th, with a reception on the 10th of June from 5:00-7:00pm. I will be Debuting the "Serentity Series" paintings at this show. I'm hoping to pack the house with friends and associates, so please try to make this show if at all possible. This will be my first trio artist show....so I hope to see you there.

The Outside Art Fair in Pensacola was a very good experience for me. I was set up in a public park for 2 days, I met alot of great people that showed alot of interest in my work. Some of you are here now because you took the time to sign my guest book and I appreciate all of your support, Thank You. I sold several prints and had a chance to set up and paint an old victorian style house across the street from my booth. Come to find out from one patron that grew up in the area....this house is suppose to be haunted....calling it " The Ghost House". So that is pretty cool. Only I can pick the haunted ones LOL.

I have been setting up at the Gulf Island National Seashore (Naval Live Oaks Area) in Gulf Breeze http://www.nps.gov/guis/pphtml/facilities.html , trying to capture a plein air painting for entry into the Arts for the Parks national art competition http://www.artsfortheparks.com/.

Two weeks ago I set up at Baytowne Wharf and did a painting of the marina area. Which had the "Blackbeard II" pirate ship docked at the very end of the pier. The owner of the ship, Captain Joe MacKenzie, introduced himself and wants to see the painting when I finish it and to get together for future projects. I've finished the painting and now am scheduling a time to meet back up with the Captain.

On May 5th I will be set up at the Arriaga Originals and Wild Women Art Gallery http://www.arriagaoriginals.com/ From 4-8 pm. This is part of the Arts Quest's Champagne Shopping Tour http://www.culturalartsassociation.org/aqdetailsnew.html. I will have originals and prints as well as set up painting into the sunset.

I placed 3 paintings in the Arts & Design Society's "Out to Lunch" show, now hanging in the gallery. The reception will be on May 13th in conjunction with the Artist Studio Tour. I will be set up painting on location at the gallery during this event. 5-8pm Friday evening.

I sent in 3 slides to the Artist's Magazine Competition today.
I'll be picking up my painting "Standing Guard" from the frame shop next week and delivering it to the Arts Center Galleries at the Okaloosa-Walton College for the 13th SE Regional Juried Fine Art Exhibition. The reception will be on May 15th, 2-4 pm. The exhibition is from May 16th - June 9th.

Well I've been pretty busy to say the least, but enjoying every minute of it. I hope our paths cross within the following month.

It's been a very active week with alot of developing events. I'm excited to share these with you, so that you can keep an eye out for them when they come about.

First off, I have 3 chair designs selected for "The Chair Affair 2005" http://www.thechairaffair.com/ . The chairs were delivered this week so that I can get them painted up for this event.

I had a painting selected into the 13th Annual Southeast Regional Juried Fine Arts Exhibition.
http://www.artsdesignsociety.com/13th_southeast_regional.htm .

On April 11th at the Market Shops of Sandestin, A group of Plein-air painters will be on display while painting the surrounding scenery. We will be on location from 10 am - 2 pm . So come out and visit the shops and meet the artists. We would love to meet you!

The Arts Council of Northwest Florida is sponcering an "Outside Art Fair" http://www.artsnwfl.org/news/article.asp?aid=187 , on April 16th & 17th.
I will be on location with some Original Paintings, Giclee Reproduction Prints and I'll be set up and painting what ever might inspire me there. You don't want to miss this event!

The Emerald Coast Plein-air Painters http://pleinairflorida.org/ecpap.htm have been out to the Landing in Ft. Walton Beach and Henderson Beach State Park painting these past few weeks. On the 6th of April we will be out at Baytowne Village in Baytown Wharf, Sandestin.
If you happen to be out that way from 8:30 am til @ noon, look for us out there capturing some of the most awesome sites in the Panhandle.

I happened to make it out to the Port of Pensacola last week to capture the USS Oriskany in port. I sat up my easel and it was an enjoyable afternoon to say the least.
http://artbybradgreek.com/oriskany.html . I will return to capture more paintings of this piece of our history. What a Sight!!

I have been working on my website... doing a major overhaul on it's design. I am hoping that the outcome will be more viewer friendly. The Oriskany page is the format that I'm going with.

Oh I had almost forgot...I am campaigning a new slogan to promote my name and my artwork.
"It's All GREEK to Me!", When you hear this phrase....you will be thinking of me. I'll be releasing a press-release on the subject soon.

Well that's about all that's been going on in the past couple weeks and a couple weeks to come.
I'll keep you posted on new developments and thank you for your support.
