Back to Back Shows

Hello Everyone!

Since my last newsletter alot has taken place, from completing the 3 chairs for the Chair Affair Event in Seaside, Fl. , sending in my entry to the "Arts For The Parks" national competition, Entering slides for the Artist Magazine competition, Attending Show receptions, and Plein air painting.

I have also finished my "Serentity Series" http://artbybradgreek.com/Events.html (4 part painting for Thrive in '05 project) and will be getting them framed and ready to debut in the "Variety Show" at the Arts & Design Society Gallery @ 17 1st St., Ft. Walton Beach, Fl. From June 8-26, 2005. The reception will be on June 10th,2005 from 5-7pm. I would like to invite all of you that are in the area to come out and to see my show. It will be a 3 artist show so that their will be a Variety of artwork to see! I will be sending out postcards for the show to those of you in the area. If anyone else....outside the area would like one I will send one to you as well. Just e-mail me and let me know your address. I'm hoping to pack the house with my friends and associates. So I hope to see you there.

I had also received an invitation to place one of my plein air paintings into a show at the Cornell Museum in Delray Beach, Fl. http://www.oldschool.org/index.html from June 9th thru August 27th, 2005. The reception will be on June 9th from 5:30-8:00pm. I plan on attending the reception, then have to drive straight back to be ready for the Variety Show reception on the 10th. I'll be hussling for sure!

I attended the Arts Quest Art Festival at Baytowne Wharf in Sandestin and seen alot of great artwork in all mediums. As well as meeting some great artists, which I have added some links to my website to their sites, so check that out as well. I also received an application to join the Cultural Arts Association http://www.culturalartsassociation.org/ that sponcers Art Quest. So that maybe next year I will be apart of that great oppertunity to display during the area's largest art venue. I had an awesome time at the Champagne Shopping Tour on the 5th of May.

Commissions isn't something that I do too often but this month as brought several to my pallet. One of the Home place of a fellow artist that wanted something special to remember their home before they sell it. So I set up on location for two sittings and captured her home on canvas. And I have a special request for a Fantasy painting of faeries and dragonflies for a friends grandaughter. So I'll be working on that next.

I have been invited to show at the Ballet Studio in Ft. Walton Beach for the Okaloosa County Art alliance Show on the 21st and 22nd. It will be a chance for the several art groups in the area to converse and share what we are all doing.

I also have several other competitions on the way that I will give out details to when the time draws nearer.

The Emerald Plein Air Painters Group has been meeting on Wed. mornings all over the area, from the Landing in Ft. Walton Bch. to the Air Force Armament Museum. Yes I was able to get all the Ladies out there to paint Planes....It might be awhile before they will go back LOL.

I have alot of new prints coming available soon, I have had 9 paintings scanned in the past couple weeks for the Giclee prints. I will have them posted soon on my New Releases page of my site with a special discount available for those of you that receive my newsletter. I'll let you know when I get them posted.

I enjoy sharing my ventures with you, I hope that you are enjoying them as well! Feel free to share this with your friends as well and I can add them to my list.

Until next time...have a wonderful time and stop and talk to an artist when you see one.
