Many shows this Fall season has left me falling behind in my posts. I'm currently in two shows both put on by (ADSO) The Arts & Design Society of Fort Walton Beach.

Oct. 26- Nov 10th and the 24th Northwest Florida Fair Fine Art Show Nov. 2-10. I recieved a third place award for the Plein Air scratchboard posted here. I also recieved a 2nd place award for the other image above at the Fair show. So get out and see these shows before they are over.

This Sat. & Sun. Nov. 10th and 11th from 10am-4pm I'll be at Seaside, Florida for thier 11th Annual Italian Street Painting Festival "Via Colori" http://www.sowal.com/photos-100205.html It is going to be Awesome!! I had to be a part of this charitable event.

As some of you might know, I am the Luncheon Committee Chairperson for (ADSO) which means I set up the monthly Luncheons and line up the guest speakers, etc... Over the past couple years I've brought in many wonderful artists and art related businesses to the group. This month I will be bringing in Paul Lombardo of DoveTails Art & Frame http://www.dovetailsartandframe.com/ of Navarre. Paul and his wife Tina have been promoting a featured artist a month in their gallery along with live music and wine tasting. Bringing Art Culture to this small Emerald Coast Community. They have a new show hung now and the reception will be this Friday evening Nov 9th from 6-8pm. So if you are in the area come on by. The Luncheon this month will be in the evening at the (ADSO) Gallery as a pot luck dinner. I'll post times and dates later but it's looking like it will be on the Friday Nov 30th @5pm~.

The 2007 Navarre Beach Fall Festival of the Arts turned out great!! It's estimated that we had 12,000-15,000 patrons pass through the festival that weekend. We also had an art competition called "Paint Santa Rosa" in which we went out to 3 locations and painted previous to the festival and then entered our work for awards. The show is now hanging in the Dragonfly Gallery in Milton, Florida until the 10th of Nov. One of the locations was at the Santa Rosa Zoo.
http://www.thezoonorthwestflorida.org/ That was an experience I would like to try again. I didn't realize just how many species they have on display there, unbelievable!! Check out thier site.

Well as you all know I can talk about art and art related stuff forever, so I'll stop for now. Coming up I'll talk about some educational reading I've been doing to increase my art history. I'm finally getting started after about 40 years of painting LOL.

Thanks for all your support for the Arts.
